It's been a while since the group has been involved in a contest, thus the
current interaction level. The fact that people are plugging shows that they are
still dedicated to the group's cause, so it's nothing to look negatively upon
. Members are also communicating to each other on a more personal
basis, so not all of the interaction is being seen.
And no, please don't plug scans ... they weren't created by the person in
question themseles, so it doesn't qualify as something they have designed.
I fixed the Aspiring Mafia link in the plugging section, thanks for pointing
that out to me DevilDude I must have overlooked it when I was re-doing the
coding after the switch to the new MT .
Anyway, I created a new wall and plugged Emma's "January Snow" to
compliment my snow themed wallpaper.

I've been wondering about that myself ... may he didn't submit a wall or perhaps
it just hasn't been uploaded to the site yet. Although, it would really suck if

Who is the accusor? Often times many people will say this just to start trouble.
If you honestly haven't ripped anything you have nothing to worry about. Just

have a particular scan you can use in your wallpapers. The thing is you asked
for a scan ... meaning you don't have it, so how the hell could you rip
something?
To me it just sounds like a dirf causing trouble. Could you please post what

Well, it looks like everyone is excited about the w.a.r. contest. With that
said, I would like any members who wish to participate to mention that they
would like to represent the Aspiring Mafia in this guestbook. I will round up a
list of the participants and put it up on the group page. After I get the list
of possible participants, I'll narrow it down from there. So, start posting so I

That is quite understandable. As a member you don't have to always absolutely
have a guestbook post everyday, just make your presense known and show that you

I'm going to sort through all of them this weekend. I was away on a trip and now
have caught a cold, so excuse the absense. I will however boot out people who
have not plugged at all or who are too inactive. They shouldn't be in this group
if they don't follow the main aspect of our group, which is plugging. It's ok if

Ok, first I would recommend looking at the coloring of the characters clothing
and if there is a certain light or shading applied upon them. For example, if
the characters are wearing mostly red, to make the background more visually
appealing, you would want to tie in various shades of red, oranges, etc ...
other complimentary colors so that your wall would "match". Often
times, I've noticed people just plopping a character on a background that
doesn't even match. This is often due to a lack of appropriate color
matching.
Also, choose whether you are going to be doing scenic or abstract. Grunge or
modern, etc. Choosing the style you want to work with helps a lot to furthering
progress on the wall. You can choose the style by looking at the character
itself. Is it dark and dingy ... perhaps a grunge wall. Bright and happy ...
perhaps an retro abstract. If you don't know, experiment and try odd things out.
Sometimes something that looks rediculous can become a centerpiece later on in
the wall.
Give me more of an idea and I'm sure we can help direct you in your wall. I
don't have quite enough information on what you want help with besides that you
don't know where to start . Oh,
and one more thing always influnece each of your walls with your own personal
style. If someone gives you an idea don't just take it, change it so that is
better suits who you are and your walling style. Modify the old ways to make the
new.

amount of participants, I'll make an announcement on the mafia main page and see
who I can snag who is willing to participate. One question though, are the
admins of the groups allowed to participate... or are they the judges?

down and not seen anymore, limiting people from possibly plugging them. So, if

I do have to agree with you that the reviews section is a tad neglected. So many
talented writers never get seen because of the overshadowing of the walls here
at MT. I tend to use the Minitokyo review section whenever I am debating to buy
or rent an anime in question, and often times I can see that the writers have
put effort into reviewing it completely... well most of them anyway .
More to the point, I am willing to affiliate with Minitokyo Review because we
both share the same goal of bringing more recognition to talent, as well as
overlooked aspects of MT. Oh, and thank you for taking a liking to the little
Mafia ... its good to see poitive responses from others regarding it .
